I know, I know. I’ve been radio silent lately, but I had to get through some things. I’ve debated on whether to share or not. I suppose if you’re a fan of my books, you’d probably want to know.
(Deep Breath) Here goes. I almost quit writing/publishing this last year.
Before you come at me… I am not quoting. I am even working on the next book in the Light Bringers series. I just had to get over all the things that went wrong in a succession of a short amount of time. Honestly, I was feeling like the whole world was either out to get me or take advantage of me because I’m an Indie Author. To be fair, part of it was my anxiety, and part of it was reality. I didn’t think I would get through all of the stress with my writing spirit intact.
I did take a step back and enjoyed life. I went to some Kpop concerts, visited Universal Studios, saw some movies and hung out with my animals. I even rescued another cat. His name is Henry. I took a break and just put the stress that comes with being an indie author out of my mind.
My writing spirit is still there and still wants to write all kinds of books in the urban fantasy and romance fantasy genre. I can’t ignore it.
So, now I am back… and back to writing.
Right now that is my immediate plan for the future. Write, write and write some more. After that, I’ll tackle the logistics that comes with being an indie author one daunting task at a time. So, stay tuned. I didn’t give up, there is more to come.
